What You'll Do:

As a Senior System Engineer/ Automation Engineer, you will immediately step into a transformative leadership role where you will architect and drive integrated solution testing and quality assurance for cutting-edge Salesforce projects and application releases. You will lead the charge in pioneering next-gen automation, continuous validation, and AI-augmented testing within Agile and DevOps environments—propelling our evolution into a future-ready, quality engineering powerhouse through the One Design principle and Single Test Suite paradigm. This is a technical position providing solutions for one or more software engineering disciplines and works closely with development, product management, project management, and leadership, drives adoption of the right technologies and platforms to meet the overall technology vision, roadmap and strategy established by Technology Development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Spearheading the design and implementation of advanced, scalable test strategies tailored for Salesforce SaaS CRM and interconnected ecosystems, ensuring seamless, omnichannel customer experiences.

  • Driving innovation in test automation frameworks leveraging AI/ML-enhanced scripting and autonomous testing to boost coverage, accelerate delivery cycles, and support robust CI/CD pipelines.

  • Architect and build scalable applications using Microsoft Power Apps, integrating GenAI models for intelligent automation and enhanced user experiences.

  • Develop, fine-tune, and deploy GenAI models (such as GPT, LLMs) for tasks like natural language processing, document automation, chatbots, and predictive analytics.

  • Leverage Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) streamline workflows and create custom business applications.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and actionable solutions.

  • Collaborating cross-functionally in a DevSecOps culture to continuously elevate test frameworks, infrastructure, tooling, and processes—championing shift-left testing and continuous quality feedback loops.

  • Leading proactive defect lifecycle management with data-driven root cause analysis (RCA) and predictive analytics to unearth systemic risks and drive operational excellence.

  • Harnessing real-time test analytics and quality intelligence dashboards to inform strategic decisions, deliver transparent reporting, and engage leadership and stakeholders with actionable insights.

  • Orchestrating cross-team innovation on large-scale digital transformation initiatives, embedding quality engineering best practices throughout the product lifecycle for resilient, secure, and scalable solutions.

  • Defining and tracking SLAs with testing and delivery partners to maintain elite standards of application quality, scalability, maintainability, and security posture.

  • Leading agile test planning, effort estimation, and dynamic timeline management to ensure the delivery of high-velocity, high-quality code in fast-paced program increments.

  • Designing modular, reusable, and traceable test scenarios and cases aligned with evolving business objectives, supporting continuous compliance and audit readiness.

What You'll Need To Bring:

Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

  • 3+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years working with Power Apps and Power Platform

  • 3+ years using test automation frameworks and tools such as Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured, and TestNG.

  • 2+ years of Salesforce and Mulesoft experience.

  • 3+ years of Python programming/Javascript experience.

  • 2+ years as a quality engineering lead or test architect, with expertise in requirements analysis, test planning, execution, defect management, root cause analysis, and quality reporting.

  • 2+ years leading integrated or end-to-end testing for large-scale, multi-tier web applications, including UI, API/microservices, email/SMS communications, and data feeds (e.g., Kafka, Data Router).

  • 2+ years of Experience with Azure platform, Kubernetes, Java, Docker, Jenkins, Python, MySQL, Elastic, Oracle, Kafka, Angular, React and PowerBI

  • 1+ year of Experience in using visualization tools such as Kibana and Grafana, with a preference for candidates with ELK stack knowledge

  • Proven experience with GenAI models (e.g., GPT, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Llama, etc.) and integrating AI into business applications

  • Proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Power BI

  • Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services

  • Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and responsible AI practices

  • Hands-on API testing experience with tools like Postman and SOAP UI

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, or Azure DevOps

  • Experience testing web applications across multiple browsers and mobile devices

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent verbal and written communication

  • Proven ability to prepare and present quality status reports to leadership, identifying trends and risks

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Extensive experience working with complex consumer ecosystems involving diverse plans, products, and account variations

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Monitoring, Analytics & Metrics: ELK Stack, PowerBI, Quantum Metrics

  • Project & Portfolio Management: Jira, Jira Align

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-400, PL-900, or PL-100)

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies

  • Knowledge of MLOps and AI model lifecycle management

  • Experience building and deploying custom connectors for Power Platform

  • Generative AI:

    • Large Language Models (LLMs): GPT (like GPT-4.1-mini), BERT, T5 — used for natural language understanding, content generation, and conversational AI

    • AI Frameworks & Libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers — enabling custom model development and fine-tuning.

    • Synthetic Data Generation: Leveraging GenAI to create realistic synthetic datasets for testing and training without compromising privacy

Our Senior System Engineering, earns between $130,700-$196,100 Annual Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
