As part of our Chief Security Office, you’ll be entrusted with safeguarding our global assets, championing transparency, and leading the charge in mastering the use of AI for cybersecurity - always staying one step ahead of tomorrow’s threats.

We’re seeking a strategic leader to guide a team dedicated to strengthening our risk management frameworks, accelerating our solutions, resolving compliance challenges, and preventing potential security breaches. You will develop cutting-edge AI systems and solutions and prepare the company for how best to response to emerging threats.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic AI & Cybersecurity Leadership:  drive the execution of secure, scalable AI solutions for cybersecurity, including risk management, compliance (NIST, MITRE ATLAS), and integration of emerging technologies.

  • Technical Expertise & Innovation:  provide deep technical proficiency in AI/ML engineering (LLMs, agentic systems, secure ML workflows), cloud platforms, and model development, while advancing innovation in threat detection and mitigation.

  • Team Building & Cross-Functional Collaboration: lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, foster a culture of technical excellence, and collaborate across business units and external partners to align AI initiatives with organizational goals.

What you’ll bring:

  • Master's degree (MS/MA) desired in Computer Science or Cybersecurity preferred,

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • Demonstrated excellence in leading large-scale AI Innovation

  • Deep understanding modern AI architectures

  • Advanced expertise with cloud platforms and secure data environments 

  • Strategic business acumen and executive presence

  • Strong experience managing high-performance teams (including offshore management)

Our Director-Cybersecurity, earns between $171,000-$256,400 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
