AT&T’s investment led strategy to become the best connectivity provider through 5G and Fiber has resulted in AT&T being the largest capital investor in the US for the last several years spending well above $20B annually. The capital management finance team is responsible for investment prioritization, long range planning and operational results management with our operational partners and the Senior Leadership team. This role supports the coordination and consolidation of monthly results, long range capital planning and executive communication. In addition, the role will be responsible for the capital data and analytics strategy, business case and ad-hoc analysis, project and value stream management.

Oversee comprehensive financial analysis, ensuring accurate forecasting, strategic planning, and data-driven recommendations to achieve and optimize organizational financial objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead long-term financial planning, develop financial strategies, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to drive organizational goals.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, monitor budget variances, and ensure alignment with financial targets.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering continuous improvement and aligning team objectives with organizational goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to support business decisions, provide financial expertise in projects, and facilitate effective communication between finance and other units.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the organization’s financial goals and objectives, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in fulfilling the role.

  • Designs and executes strategies that support the overarching philosophy of the organization.
  • Oversees departmental programs and is often hands-on with the design and implementation of applicable strategies.
  • Typically leads large teams, supervising supervisors as well as career-level staff within the organization.
  • Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
  • 10+ years of related experience. 

Our Director-Financial Analysis, earn between $158,200 - $237,400. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
