What you’ll do:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Program Manager-M&A to oversee complex, cross-functional initiatives in Agile environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both program and project management. In this role, you will negotiate, manage, and execute contracts for large-scale M&A projects across AT&T. You will combine strategic operational knowledge with hands-on project execution expertise to deliver cost-effective solutions, ensure contractual compliance, and facilitate the seamless integration or divestiture of cross-company deliverables.

You will be responsible for overseeing essential program services, managing relationships with both internal and external clients, and enhancing operational efficiency across AT&T projects. Drawing on your technical project management expertise, you will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position demands outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities to foster innovation and ensure exceptional client satisfaction.

What you’ll need:

  • Program & Project Management:

    • Oversee all phases of large-scale M&A projects, collaborating with project teams to integrate project strategies that align with contractual requirements and ensure consistency between AT&T deliverables and contract specifications.

    • Collaborate with external partners to align project milestones, strategies, and adherence to contractual obligations.

    • Address and resolve any contractual issues related to assigned service performance, ensuring compliance with project requirements and proactively mitigating risks.

    • Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk management, and quality standards.

    • Monitor project milestones, financials, and performance metrics, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.

    • Collaborate with functional teams to define and implement solutions, including API integrations, cloud services, and automation tools.

    • Lead rebranding and infrastructure updates, ensuring compliance with agreed technical standards and archiving necessary project documentation.

    • Manage any required changes to contractual agreements or dispute resolution related to the program deliverables.

    • Manage software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables.

    • Opportunity to Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives, providing strategic guidance and resolving complex issues.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Implement Lean Six Sigma practices to drive operational efficiency and cost reduction.

    • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users on new tools and workflows.

    • Create dashboards and reporting mechanisms to improve decision-making and transparency.

What you’ll bring:

  • Required Experience:

    • 4+ years of experience in program/project management, and Agile methodologies

    • Experience in procurement, contract management, customer relations.

    • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and tools like Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Project Management.

    • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

    • Demonstrated experience in leading complex projects, with a proven track record of successfully managing clients.

    • Knowledge in risk management, regulatory compliance, and technical performance monitoring.

    • Proficiency in data analysis and project tracking tools.

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage at executive levels.

    • Demonstrates impartiality and serves as an objective resource, exhibiting strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. Skilled in negotiation and problem-solving with both internal AT&T groups and external clients.

  • Desired Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

  • Desired Qualifications:

    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agile certification.

    • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP).

    • Lean Six Sigma certification.

    • Experience working with major telecommunications vendors and service providers (e.g., T-Mobile, Verizon, Dish Network).

    • Exceptional problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

    • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in technology, regulatory environments, and project scope.

Our Lead Program Manager-M&A earns between $130,700 - $196,100 annually.  Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
