This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted.  No relocation is offered.

Overall Purpose:Responsible for managing and executing integrated internal employee communications programs surrounding AT&T’s strategy and in coordination with the development and design of highly complex external Public Relations (PR) communications programs. This job title is used exclusively for employees that roll up into the Corporate Communications business unit.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:Develop and implement comprehensive internal communications, PR strategies, and employee engagement programs that align with the company’s goals and objectives. Analyze and confer expertise on tactical communication plans and maintain a high-level understanding of industry trends to make appropriate recommendations.

  • Content Creation and Management:Write, edit, and oversee the publication of various communications materials, including articles, videos, webcasts, employee newsletters, and digital assets. Make decisions on important stories, narratives, and content that reflect the company’s priorities, strategy, and position on key topics. Manage the end-to-end organization and project management to support the weekly development and distribution of mass communications to all AT&T employees.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, company leaders, and community members, to build strong relationships and gather feedback. Advise executive leadership on employee engagement and PR strategies.

  • Event and Crisis Communication Management:Support and coordinate crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate negative publicity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and manage special projects as directed. Develop employee initiatives to enhance brand awareness, strengthen relationships, and promote strategic alignment across both management and frontline employee populations.

  • Media Relations and Reporting:Provide counsel to senior managers and executives on media-related issues and speech writing. Track and analyze the performance of communications and PR activities using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Prepare regular reports to evaluate the impact of communication strategies and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Job Contribution:A creative professional with strong writing skills and a solid knowledge of fundamental concepts and organizational practices, working on smaller projects. Exercises judgment in the absence of prescribed guidelines or policies to determine appropriate action. Works under minimal supervision with independent judgment. Actions impact efficiency and costs. Interacts primarily within the department and across various teams.

Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 1+ years of related experience.
