JOB TITLE: Lead Quality Assurance

REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker

JOB LOCATION: 3400 W. Plano Pkwy, Plano TX 75075 [Hybrid position]          

DUTIES: Perform all functions involved in the quality assurance and test execution for new and existing applications and interfaces. Lead testing efforts for large cross-organizational software development projects in all phases and communicate with leadership regarding test plans, status, issues, and risks. Oversee quality assurance processes for all products, define the optimal solution for each issue, and implement in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications. Design, develop, and analyze test plans and strategies. Write and execute test cases, analyze test results, report test metrics, prepare and present test reports, and troubleshoot defects for applications. Develop automation strategies that will enhance test execution, manual test coverage, and the consistency of regression testing. Determine integrated testing solutions that include cross dependencies and identify test scenarios for large programs. Develop data and environment strategies utilizing architectural skills and methodologies to meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Write SQL and NOSQL queries and automation scripts using Java, TestNG, and Selenium. Utilize Java, JavaScript, Jira, and Jira Align. Apply advanced knowledge of Pact, REST Assured, Postman, Jenkins, SOASTA, and Oracle. Plan, implement, and execute all aspects of quality and testing. Develop and evolve QA processes. Provide regular direction, mentoring, and coaching to QA team members and ensure the success of the teams efforts. Develop performance test scripts and execute load testing for each REST API microservice. Collaborate with program managers, development leads, and architects to identify test scenarios for large programs. Report defects and follow up on their closure. Communicate progress proactively and regularly using various tools and strategies: governance calls, stand-up calls, formal jeopardies, escalations, daily/weekly progress reports, defect metrics collections. Coordinate with teams involving all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle and facilitate certification for production deployment. 

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science or Information Technology and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years of post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation leading testing efforts for large cross-organizational software development projects in all phases and communicate with leadership regarding test plans, status, issues, and risks; designing, developing, and analyzing test plans and strategies; writing and executing test cases, analyzing test results, reporting test metrics, preparing and presenting test reports and troubleshooting defects for applications; developing automation strategies that will enhance test execution, manual test coverage, and the consistency of regression testing; determining integrated testing solutions that include cross dependencies and identifying test scenarios for large programs;

developing data and environment strategies utilizing architectural skills and methodologies to meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs; writing SQL and NOSQL queries and automation scripts using Java, TestNG, and Selenium; utilizing Java, JavaScript, Jira, and Jira Align; applying advanced knowledge of Pact, REST Assured, Postman, Jenkins, SOASTA, and Oracle; planning, implementing, and executing all aspects of quality and testing; and developing performance test scripts and executing load testing for each REST API microservice.
